Kenneth Hearn
MD

Dear PHCA families,

It is with very bittersweet feelings that I am writing to announce that I will be leaving PHCA with my last day scheduled to be July 24, 2026. As many of you know, my wife is a veterinarian and she has been granted a wonderful opportunity to start her own practice, a dream she has had since childhood. This move has us going up to the St. Augustine/Jax Beach area and will also bring us much closer to our families so our little Ms. Jackie can spend much more time with her Mimi, Pop Pop, Nana, Baba, and other extended family.

The Crossroads office was my first “big boy” job out of residency, and I could not be more thankful for the grace, patience, and learning opportunities that have been afforded to me while being entrusted to care for your children and families. I am certain that the capable hands and minds of my colleagues Dr. Richardson, Dr. Gadea, and APRN Kris Evavold will continue to provide the excellent care that your children were accustomed to long before I was given the opportunity to join their ranks in 2023. I am also confident that the leadership at PHCA has found a wonderful replacement in Tampa local and University of Kentucky residency alumna, Dr. Clarisse Fres, who will be joining in August 2026.

I thank you all for allowing me to grow in my career as a pediatrician while seeing your children grow and if you ever find yourself in the Jacksonville Beach area needing pediatric care I would certainly look forward to being part of your child’s medical home again in the future.

His last stop was McDonough, GA,  which is where he completed high school and stayed for college and medical school. He is conversationally fluent in German.

Dr. Hearn earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology, from Piedmont College (Demorest, Georgia)  in 2016 and his  Doctor of Medicine in 2020 from AU/UGA Medical Partnership (Athens, Georgia). He completed his Pediatric Residency in 2023 at the University of South Florida, training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Hearn is board eligible in 2023 and recognized by NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (2013-2025)

His areas of interest are newborn and preventive care (specifically positive health habits).

While Dr Hearn is a Crossroads pediatrician, his wife is a local veterinarian and a Florida native. They were both college athletes at Piedmont in Georgia (she in lacrosse and he played soccer). They enjoy the water in sunny St. Petersburg Florida, especially paddleboarding with their dog, Moose. On any given Saturday, you’re likely to find them watching the Bundesliga, Premier League, or see them at Al Lang Stadium cheering on the Rowdies. We are honored to have him as part of our Crossroads Pediatric Team!
